The purpose of this page is to provide a detailed explanation of how the tournament works, its rules, and to answer any questions participants may have.
All matches will be played as the best of 3 sets, with a 10-point super-tiebreak in the 3rd set. Golden point scoring will be used.
Premium categories will play a normal 3 set match.
The competition will consist of two stages. The first stage will be a group phase. The second stage will be the knockout phase, the structure of which will depend on the number of groups formed.
The tournament will begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday.
On Friday, matches will be played in the evening, with the first time slot starting at 5:00 PM and the last at 10:00 PM.
On Saturday and Sunday, matches will be played throughout the day, with the first time slot starting at 9:00 AM and the last at 10:00 PM.
All group-stage matches will be played between Friday and Saturday.
The knockout-stage matches will be reserved for Sunday: quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played in the morning, while the finals will take place in the afternoon.
Once all category finals have been completed, the grand lottery will take place, followed by the prize ceremony for winners and runners-up.
For each tournament, registration will be open in the Mixed, Women's, and Men's categories.
The Women's and Men's categories are divided into five levels (Premium, A, B+, B, and C, in descending order).
The Mixed category is divided into three levels (A, B, and C, in descending order).
Groups will be formed by the tournament organizers according to scheduling criteria. Pairs with compatible availability will be grouped together in order to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament.
Depending on the number of registered pairs in each category, groups may consist of 3, 4, or 5 pairs.
Each pair is guaranteed a minimum of three matches.
If a pair belongs to a group consisting of only three participating pairs and does not qualify for the knockout stages, the organization will arrange a consolation match to ensure the minimum number of matches are played.
Punctuality is extremely important throughout the tournament.
Participants are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before their first scheduled match in order to collect their Welcome Pack and ensure that the matches start on time.
After playing your first match, participants must arrive at least 15 minutes before each match.
Players are required to check in at the tournament desk before every match in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the tournament.
If a pair arrives late, we will give 10 minutes of margin. After the first 10 minutes, the opponents can ask for a walkover (W.O). The walkover will count as a 6-2 6-2.
If a pair arrives 20 minutes late, a walkover (W.O.) will be automatically awarded.
The group winners will qualify for the knockout stages. However, depending on the group structure, it may be reasonable for all runners-up, or only some runners-up, to advance as well.
The knockout-stage format will vary by category and will be determined according to practical and reasonable considerations.
If two pairs played the same amount of group matches are tied we will follow this order:
If there is a different amount of group matches in the same category, the couple that played one match less, will count one extra match won as a 6-2 6-2.
If you haven't played any matches yet, you are allowed to change your partner.
If you already played a match in the group phase and you want to change your partner, you can. The match/es you have already played will count as a walkover (2-6 2-6), and the other one(s) that you will play with the new partner, count as a normal match.
In the knock-out phase, you are not allowed to change your partner.
